Greg Falken

Greg Falken is currently serving as President of Duende.

Greg received a Bachelor of Arts degree in media and communications from The Evergreen State College, Olympia, Washington, in 1981. In the four years following graduation, he worked in Hollywood as a recording engineer for A&M Records, and independently. His work included albums, film and television scores and spoken word recordings.

In 1984, working with first and second generation personal computers, he began a computer consulting service, which provided system evaluation, installation and training. From 1986 through 1988, Greg was Vice President of Operations for Barnett/Associates, a California collateral production agency. He acted as Lead Technical Writer during the production of several hardware user manuals produced under contract for Qume Corporation.

Taking a leave of absence from the computer industry, Greg pursued his other great ambition, aviation. From 1988 through 1993, he accumulated 3,200 flight hours as a Certified Flight Instructor, Charter and Corporate Pilot. Holding the FAA rating of Airline Transport Pilot, he has flown throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, in everything from an open cockpit biplane to corporate jets and turboprops.

After moving to the Sierra foothills, Greg transitioned back into the computer business as a principal in Pine Mountain Computer Service, in Twain Harte. Following a growing interest in the Internet and the World Wide Web, he began producing commercial web pages, drawing on his strong design and technical writing skills. In August 1995, he formed webdancers, which is his current primary focus.

Greg is married to Amy Falken. Their son, Jacob was born in 1999.
